Industrial Decarbonization: A Roadmap to 2050.

A necessary objective and a strategic opportunity.

Decarbonization plans have become a fundamental and strategic element for organizations planning the transition to carbon-neutral operations. The 2050 Industrial Decarbonization Goal is a key step toward achieving climate neutrality. Currently, there are no new TED plans or mandates active for 2025, although national strategic frameworks guiding this transformation remain in place. This goal consists of a roadmap that will allow organizations and companies to achieve their greenhouse gas reduction targets, improve energy efficiency, and adopt new sustainable energy sources. For industrial and engineering companies, this goal opens up both challenges and opportunities. It's not just about adapting to new regulations, but also about leading a process of innovation and efficiency.

But what does decarbonization mean for the industrial sector?

  • Help combat climate change.
  • Redesign production processes to consume less energy and generate fewer emissions.
  • Incorporate renewable technologies. Leverage resources and minimize waste.
  • Digitize industrial processes to accurately and continuously measure, manage, and optimize environmental impact.

At Grupo Savia, we are developing and integrating AI-based solutions applied to industrial environments, with a clear objective: to accelerate the transition toward more sustainable and intelligent operations.

Our main commitments:

  • We advise and support industrial companies in the transition to more efficient and lower-emission processes.
  • We design sustainable automation systems, optimizing energy consumption on production lines.
  • We offer digital tools for energy monitoring and intelligent resource management.
  • Our approach combines experience in industrial automation, energy consulting, and transformation, providing solutions that improve efficiency and combining technical knowledge, strategic vision, and environmental commitment.

Current plans and strategies.

Within the framework of this energy transition, there are several official plans and strategies that establish the path toward climate neutrality:

  • Long-Term Decarbonization Strategy (ELP 2050): defines the long-term objectives for achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
  • National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) 2021–2030: proposes concrete measures to reduce emissions, increase renewables, and improve energy efficiency.
  • PERTE for Industrial Decarbonization: a program designed to support innovation and emissions reduction in the industrial sector.
  • National Air Pollution Control Program (PNCCA): establishes limits and strategies to minimize air pollutants. Law 7/2021 on Climate Change and Energy Transition: legal framework that governs climate action in Spain.
